Our medical coordination starts with the following:
1. We will match your medical needs with our range of medical services and will arrange for a physician to review your medical history
2. We will schedule executive health screening services at our Health For life Department
3. We will arrange medical record reviews
4. We will arrange physician referrals through your physician
*Medical coordination is usually conducted before making financial arrangements
Consultations
In order to assist you, we may require you to send your complete medical history, along with any applicable x-ray films and laboratory test results to our hospital. Once a physician has reviewed your medical history, we will contact you about the recommended course of treatment.
Appointments
Once we have determined that the treatment at Alexandra Hospital is appropriate, we will schedule all of your physician appointments including diagnostic and laboratory tests and procedures, as well as surgical procedures on the same day if necessary.
We will help facilitate all financial arrangements. If you are covered by insurance, we can help you with the following:
• We can help to review whether or not your insurance is accepted at Alexandra Hospital
• We will help you to understand your insurance benefits if Alexandra Hospital accepts your insurance
• We will help to supply you with billing information so that you can request reimbursement from your insurance company
If you are not covered by insurance, we will be glad to provide a comprehensive estimation of Alexandra Hospital's charges so that you know what to expect, financially.
