Objectives
The purpose of the Alexandra Hospital Endowment Fund Scheme is to promote, develop and provide health-related services that will benefit the Singapore community. This includes:
1.1 Conduct of health or medical-related public conferences, seminars, exhibitions;
1.2 Conduct of training programmes for the furtherance of continued health or medical education;
1.3 Provision of health or medical care to patients determined to be in need of financial assistance;
1.4 Publication of guides, magazines and pamphlets with strong content base of health or medical-related topic;
1.5 Conduct of programmes to promote healthy lifestyle.
Programmes/ Activities
In keeping with the mission to promote health to Singapore, Alexandra Hospital has organised programmes such as Health for Older People (HOP), Art Therapy Programme and conducted seminars and public health talks. HOP is an intensive and interactive health promotion programme designed to empower older people with the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to 'hop' onto a healthy lifestyle. The Art Therapy Programme enables patients to stay engaged in learning Chinese painting, helping them in their recovery. The seminars and health talks will educate the public on the various issues relating to chronic diseases and healthy living.
