At Alexandra Hospital, we are indeed very fortunate to have many good friends who volunteer regularly.We call them: Our Friends of AH.
Friends of AH
Spearheaded by the former Chief Executive Officer of the Guardian Pharmacy, Mrs Pauline Ong is one such good friend.A familiar face in the hospital, Mrs Ong started the Greeter's Information Desk at the Hospital's lobby, assisted by other equally high-powered retirees.
Over the years, Mrs Ong initiated and implemented many patient-centric initiatives for the hospital. Her hardwork did not go unnoticed. In 2006, Mrs Ong was awarded the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Distinguished Contributor Award.
Student Volunteers
Students from Methodist Girls' School and Hwa Chong Junior College have contributed much time and resources to make our patients' stay at the hospital a pleasant one.To be an Alexandra Hospital volunteer, all you need is a BIG HEART and a PASSION to make things better for our patients.
